Speak Up
In 75 percent of school shootings, other people knew about the planned attack before it took place; and 81% of school shooters told someone else about their plan in advance. However, many of these people chose not to warn a school authority about the possible attack because they were afriad of being labled as a tattletale, or they thought the person who issued the threat was not being serious. Speak Up is a campaign that encourages students to report weapon related threats to a school authority, in hopes of reducing the amount of school shootings that occur in out nation.
